World AIDS Day in Detroit

An estimate of more than half of the 18,200 people with HIV in Michigan were diagnosed with AIDS. 60% are black, 35% white, and about 75% are males. With the growing number of victims, it is a such positive and enlightening thing for the government to hold events such as the World AIDS Day, to at least give the people enough awareness about this problem.

The World AIDS Day will be recognized through a musical program in Detroit, that will bring encouragement to the youth in making the right choices in their day to day struggles with life. This event slash R&B and Hip-Hop project will be sponsored by the Detroit health department, in cooperation with the Wayne County Health Department and the Michigan Department of Community Health.
