Time Warner Cable NYC is the industry’s second largest company and is known for leveling the prices of its services. It has 31 operating divisions working in almost 27 U.S. states. The company’s new ad campaign requesting help from its subscribers, was released recently and simultaneously, it is negotiating with providers of network programming to avert an incoming increase in their rates. If this pushes through, the company will have to pay in carrier rights.

November of this year the New Tang Dynasty Television was offered to subscribers on channel 589. Now almost 1.16 million digital subscriber households are enjoying it for free. However, the deal will expire this year and channels like Food Network, the Weather Channel, F/X and HGTV will be affected. Time Warner Cable NYC hopes to further expand the partnership with NTDTV.
