To Pimp a Butterfly Breaks Spotify’s Streaming Records

American hip-hop recording artist, Kendrick Lamar, released his third studio album entitled, To Pimp a Butterfly. And in just a matter of a day, it has broken Spotify’s streaming records, hitting up to 9.6 million streams. The previous record holder was Michael Buble, who got 9.5 millions streams during the Christmas Eve of 2014. The album To Pimp a Butterfly is a followup to Lamar’s previous album, good kid, m.A.A.d city. It’s tracks span to a total of about 80 minutes and was produced by some of the well known names in the hip-hop industry such as Dr. Dre, Anthony “top Dawg” Tiffith and Pharrell Williams.
