A whopping $33.6 million deal was reportedly inked by the versatile Hollywood actor, Johnny Depp as he embarks once again into the portrayal of the colorful character of Captain Jack Sparrow in the upcoming movie, Pirates of the Caribbean 4. This is Disney’s fourth installment of the blockbuster movie franchise, Pirates of the Caribbean. This fourth serving will be entitled, On Stranger Tides.

The first three servings of the Pirates of the Caribbean have earned more than $2.5 billion. To put it simply, the Pirates of the Caribbean film franchise is a whopping success. And by 2011, success and money will continue to flow.

Update: It has been confirmed that Rob Marshall will be directing the Pirates of the Caribbean 4 movie. He will replace Gore Verbinski, who directed the first three Pirates of the Caribbean films.
