The 53rd Annual Grammy Awards is going to be held on February 13, 2011 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles and will air live on CBS at around 8PM EST. As of the latest updates on 2011 Grammy Awards, the frontman of The Rolling Stones Mick Jagger is going to perform. And guess what, this will be the first time in the history of the Grammy Awards. When the Rolling Stones were awarded with a Lifetime Achievement Award in 1986, the group performed only on a Grammy telecast via satellite so this year is going to be a debut appearance for Jagger on the Grammy stage. The performance will be part of a tribute to Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Solomon Burke. Mick Jagger will share center stage with soul singer Raphael Saadiq during this year’s ceremony.
Previously, popular artists like Justin Bieber, Usher, Jaden Smith, B.o.B., Bruno Mars, Janelle Monae, Lady Gaga, Green Day and Eminem were announced to perform for the 53rd Annual Grammy Awards. On the latest updates on 2011 Grammy Awards, they will be joined by Drake and Rihanna who both collaborated for Rihanna’s single “What’s My Nameâ€.
Another thing to look forward to is that of Cee Lo’s performance with Jim Henson’s The Muffets. They will also share the stage with Academy Award winner and “Country Strong†Gwyneth Paltrow. It was also announced recently that Dierks Bentley, Norah Jones, Selena Gomez, LL Cool J, Nicki Minaj and Blake Shelton will be the first set of award and segment presenters.
