Ryan Dunn, one of the lead stars of the hit movie Jackass died in a car accident in West Goshen, Philadelphia last Monday morning. According to police reports, Dunn was riding his Porsche and speeding at 140 miles per hour. A toxicology report also revealed that he was under the influence of alcohol when the accident happened. His Blood-alcohol level was 0.196, two times more than the legal limit in Pennsylvania which is 0.08 only. Dunn was riding with Zachary Hartwell in his sports car until it drove off the highway on that ill-fated Monday morning. The car got caught on fire which was spotted in a wooded area nearby.
According to the Chester County Coroner’s office, trauma caused the death of Dunn and his passenger. Last Wednesday, a private funeral service was held for Dunn and there will be more services to follow soon. A public memorial service is also scheduled for Dunn but the date was not yet confirmed. The DellaVecchia, Reilly, Smith and Boyd funeral home in West Chester is the one handling the services for Dunn.
Zachary Hartwell was a Navy veteran. During the Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan, Hartwell served as a gunner’s mate. A funeral service for him is to be held on Saturday in West Chester where both Hartwell and Ryan Dunn came from.
