Google Announces Nexus 5 with Android 4.4

It is now official that the successor of the Nexus 4 has finally arrived. Google announces Nexus 5 with Android 4.4 and it seems that all the leaked, teased and practically dissected information about it was perfectly right. Nexus 5 is now on sale on Google Play for $349 (16 GB) and $399 (32 GB). It is now available in Japan, Korea, Australia, U.K., Spain, Italy, Germany, France, Canada, and the United States. By mid-November the Nexus 5 will be available for purchase on non-Google Play in Central America, South America, Europe, CIS, Asia and the Middle East. The colors available for Nexus 5 are either black or white.Although a descendant of the Nexus 4, Nexus 5 borrows most of its industrial design from Nexus 7 that was just announced recently. Both Nexus 5 and 7 are simple plastic and have soft touch finishes. The rotated landscape “nexus” logo emblazoned on the back are also visible in Nexus 5 as well as in Nexus 7. The Nexus 5 features a 5-inch 1080p LCD display following the increasing trend of the display size. And as expected of this generation, the nexus 5 display features the in-cell touch. Compared to its predecessor, the Nexus 5 is roughly 4 mm taller and 0.47 mm wider in dimensions and it decreases by 0.51mm in terms of thickness, and is 9 grams lighter in term of weight. The Android 4.4 that comes with the Nexus 5 is also known as KitKat and it features a new dialer where you can enjoy suggestions and Caller ID by Google.
