Derrick Rose Suffers from A Most Likely Season-Ending Injury

Derrick Rose Second Injury 2013

He is the 2008 NBA Draft 1st over-all pick. He is the 2011 Most Valuable Player. He is one of the main faces of Adidas. He’s Derrick Rose. And he could end up sitting out the rest of the 2013-2014 season.

It’s a huge bomb for the fans of Chicago Bulls and for most of the basketball enthusiasts who admire the all star point guard’s skills. After sitting out the whole 2012-2013 season because of a torn ACL he sustained during the 2011-2012 season play-offs, he is once again faced with an injury that would likewise put him back in the shelves for a whole season. This time, he suffered from a torn medial meniscus. This was the same injury that sidelined Oklahoma City Thunder’s Russell Westbrook during their 2012-2013 playoff stint against the Houston Rockets. So what’s next for the Chicago Bulls? I honestly don’t have an idea. Their line-up is pretty solid. They made it to the playoffs last season even without Rose. Thanks to the players who stepped up during that season. And yes, Chicago, you let go of a great scorer in Nate Robinson. Denver now has the little spark plug.

I personally would love to see Derrick Rose back in the court this season. The Bulls will be needing him. And yes he has struggled during the start of the 2013-2014 season. He’s still on his way to getting back to his old form. But having a Derrick Rose for a full season is definitely better than not having him at all. Whether you are a Rose fan or not, let’s accept the fact that he is the face of today’s Chicago Bulls.
