NBA Finals 2011 Schedule

Its Miami Heat vs. Dallas Maverics II! Just a refresher, these two teams have already faced in the finals before. It was in 2006 when the Wade-Shaq duo won the NBA championship against the Dallas Mavericks. Dirk Nowitzki is definitely looking for a sweet revenge and his first ever championship ring. But they won’t be facing a Wade-Shaq duo anymore. It’s an even stronger line-up with Lebron James and Chris Bosh joining the Heat.

To all NBA fans who are wondering about the NBA Finals 2011 schedule, here is the list:
Game 1: May 31 9:00pm EDT @ Miami (TV: ABC, TSN)
Game 2: Jun 2 9:00pm EDT @ Miami(TV: ABC, TSN)
Game 3: Jun 5 8:00pm EDT @ Dallas (TV: ABC, TSN)
Game 4: Jun 7 9:00pm EDT @ Dallas (TV: ABC, TSN)

2011 Academy Awards (Oscars) Nominees

When talking about the 2011 Academy Awards (Oscars) nominees, or any other year for that matter, undoubtedly, the categories for best actor, best actress, best supporting actor, and best supporting actress are carefully being watched. Sometimes, it just so happens that some of the other important categories are also left out. People at times do not even care about musical scoring, best original screenplay, or best adapted screenplay among others. For this particular awarding ceremony, one of the more interesting categories to look out for is the best visual effect. This is because Hollywood has gone such a long way that sometimes it is so hard to distinguish between what is real and what is computer generated. Nominees for the best visual effects category are Alice in Wonderland, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1, Hereafter, Inception, and Iron Man 2. If you haven’t seen any of these movies, I suggest you do so and find out why they made it to the cream of the crop. After all, you don’t want to be the only one who misses out on their great effects.

During the 2011 Academy Awards (Oscars) Nominees night, one other category that will stand out from the rest is the best picture award. The films and their cast of characters are considered some of the best in their fields. You select which among the following you think will grab the top prize for best picture. The nominees are Black Swan, The Fighter, Inception, The Kids Are All Right, The King’s Speech, 127 Hours, The Social Network, Toy Story 3, True Grit, and Winter’s Bone. These are the films considered by the panel to be the best for the year.

Your guess is as good as mine and the only way to make sure who emerges the winner is to tune in to the awards night itself. Some early predictions though contend that normally, the best picture award goes to the movie which has the best actor or actress. There have been previous instances wherein the movie was done in such an impeccable manner that it literally ran away with almost all the awards. One question though that still lingers in the minds of some observers is that, will an Oscar trophy guarantee huge gate receipts at the box office? That I guess would be up to the viewers. To all nominees, good luck, and if it were only possible, may you all take home that golden trophy.
