The American Acrylic plant located at 11600 Port Road near old Texas 146 exploded at about 8:50 in the morning. According to police reports, the Seabrook explosion was followed by a massive cloud of smoke rolling upward into the air. Incidentally, there were no reports of any injuries. However, two people were reported to have gone to the Memorial Hermann Hospital Southeast and complained of discomfort.

Note: This is not the actual Seabrook explosion.
Jennifer Hart, spokeswoman for Memorial Hermann said the two are already out of danger. One hour after, firefighters have ruled out the fire and the smoke from the burnt rubble at the plant is no longer visible. Residents near the Seabrook explosion were asked to find refuge after the blast but by 11:00 o’clock, the recommendation was already lifted.
